Socks
~I have a terrible sock fetish - I have all colors and styles....I love crazy ones, character ones, just anything! I think it makes my feet happy!
Scarves
~ I also have a thing for scarves...I wear them all year around! When we travel, I pick them up at little street stores for a steal.
Local Crafts
~I think countries are partially defined by their art and artisans. I love to collect things that are hand made....jewelry, pottery, textiles....etc.
~Russian Nesting Dolls, Dala horses, Worry Dolls, Irish linens.
Lip Gloss
~I don't think a girl can have too many lipppies! (you should see inside my purse)
Cookbooks
~I have way too many, but can't get enough! I love native and local cookbooks...food is such a wonderful language. I try to pick up a cookbook from most places we visit.
T-Shirts
~I have more than any one person should ever have. When I wear a shirt from one of our trips, concerts or outings, I am reminded of that day. One of my favorites is from the Cream Reunion tour in 2005. They played 3 nights at Royal Albert Hall and 3 nights at Madison Square Garden.
Cartoon Characters
~ Jack Skellington....when I saw the movie in 1993, I was immediately hooked. There had not been a GOOD stop-animation movie in years...and to involve Danny Elfman????? yeah...I thought it was that good!
~ Peanuts - In high school, I played Peppermint Patty in the musical "Snoopy". I had always loved the Peanuts TV specials, but actually being a peanut character made me love it even more. "What's up, Chuck.....ha ha ha up-chuck" Yes, that was one of my favorite lines!
~ Invader Zim. enough said. cupcake.
~ Strawberry Shortcake...those little plastic pieces of good-smelling goodness. Yeah, I still love them. My mom has all my larger dolls in the attic, and guess what? They still smell the same.....now they are in the McDonald's Happy Meals!
~ PEEPS!!!! Marshmallow figures covered in neon colored-sugar...who couldn't love them? AND YES!!!! I eat them, too. YUM.
~ MUPPETS! Manahmanah....doo-doo doo, doo-doot. Piggy, Kermie, all of them! I have the Muppet Show series on DVD and all the movies! "Pigs in SPAAAAAaaaaaaaace".
~ Smurfs. This new movie had better not suck.
